custom_stokes_symbol_mapping

astropy.coordinates.custom_stokes_symbol_mapping(mapping, replace=False)

Add a custom set of mappings from values to Stokes symbols.

Parameters:

mappingdict[int, StokesSymbol]

A dictionary with custom mappings between values (integers) and StokesSymbol classes.

replacebool, optional

Replace all mappings with this one. Default is False, meaning the custom mappings are added to (and take precedence over) the default mappings.
